Jordan Pickford joins Premier League clean sheet 100 club

Jordan Pickford has reached 100 Premier League clean sheets, becoming only the 19th goalkeeper to achieve the milestone.

The Everton goalkeeper reached the landmark as his side held Tottenham to a 0-0 draw on Saturday. Pickford's latest shut-out puts him among an exclusive group of goalkeepers to have recorded at least a century of clean sheets in the competition.

Jordan Pickford reaches Premier League milestone

Pickford's 100th clean sheet makes him the latest goalkeeper to enter the Premier League's 100 club. Only one goalkeeper has gone beyond 200 shut-outs in the competition.

Petr Cech leads the all-time list with 202 clean sheets, putting him 33 ahead of his closest rival, David James. The former Czech Republic international also owns the Premier League record for the highest percentage of clean sheets per games played and the most consecutive clean sheets.

Cech, who played for Chelsea and Arsenal, was also the quickest goalkeeper to reach 100 Premier League clean sheets.

Premier League clean sheet record led by Cech

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was the most recent player to join the 100 club before Pickford. He reached the landmark during Liverpool's 0-0 draw with Leeds on 1 January 2026.

Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope is next in line to reach the century, although he currently has 80 Premier League clean sheets. Pope has yet to play this season after losing his place as the team's number one to Lukas Hornicek.

Former West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski also came close to reaching 100. However, an injury kept him out throughout the 2025-26 season, and he retired with 92 clean sheets.

Pickford and the clean sheet qualification rule

Pickford's milestone comes after Everton's goalless draw with Tottenham, which provided the clean sheet needed to take his Premier League total to 100.

Goalkeepers must complete a full match to be credited with a clean sheet. This rule applies to the milestone reached by Pickford and the other goalkeepers on the Premier League's clean sheet list.

With his latest shut-out, Pickford has now joined the select group of 19 goalkeepers who have reached at least 100 clean sheets in the competition.
